Celebrations Benefit Charity
1st July 2004
To mark the occasion of their 20th birthday in 2004, Franklands Insurance has donated £1,000 to the Derby-based Myasthenia Gravis Association.
The money was officially presented to the charity on Thursday 1 July when Alison Leverett, Office Manager at Franklands handed over a cheque for £1,000 to Alasdair Nimmo of the Association. The Myasthenia Gravis Association has been a client of Franklands since the company began in 1984.
Paul Brown, MD of Franklands said, “We are delighted to be celebrating our 20th year in business by presenting a cheque to the Myasthenia Gravis Association. They carry out valuable work across the UK and rely heavily on donations and the valuable work of supporters and volunteers. At Franklands we believe in supporting local organisations and so the fact that the Association is based in Derby made them an ideal choice.”
On accepting the cheque, Alasdair Nimmo from the Myasthenia Gravis Association said, “The very generous donation from Franklands will go to supporting the objectives of the Association namely research, care and education.”
Alison Leverett was chosen to present the cheque as she has worked for Franklands since day one and the celebrations also saw her receive an award for 20 years service.
Paul Brown continued, “In the 20 years that Franklands has been in business, the company has seen phenomenal growth and is recognised as Derby's leading Corporate and Professional Indemnity insurance firm. We encourage our staff to grow and develop with us and I would like to congratulate Alison and thank her for her contribution to our success.”
