Derby-based commercial insurance specialists Franklands has notched up another accolade, being named as Small Business of the Year in the recent Derbyshire Chamber Business Awards.
Derby-based commercial insurance specialists Franklands has notched up another accolade, being named as Small Business of the Year in the recent Derbyshire Chamber Business Awards.
The firm specialises in Corporate and Professional Indemnity insurance and won the award in recognition of its strong financial performance over the last 12 months.
The highlight of 2003 was the £500,000 move to a new building on the Wyvern Business Park in Derby, a major achievement for a small company employing just 14 staff.
Franklands has been trading since 1984 and since a Management Buyout in 1999 it has grown more than 5 fold and is set for continued growth. Managing Director Paul Brown said, “We are immensely proud of the progress we have made over the last five years. Winning this award can only increase our profile and give us heightened credibility in our objective to be recognised as the region's leading business insurance broker and risk management adviser.”
