Franklands unveils online driver risk assessment tool

Franklands has launched a new online driver risk assessment tool allowing companies to stay on top of their legally-obligated risk assessment practices.

For companies that employ fleet drivers, or any sort of drivers at all, you may be surprised to hear that over 30% of all motor accidents involve a person who is driving for work. As well as the health of your employee being at risk, the costs associated with vehicle damage, replacement vehicles, administration costs and down time could soon mount up - leaving you in a poor state of affairs.

Introducing the driver risk assessment...

The system has been developed in consultation with road safety officers, approved driving instructors and members of the emergency services and as a result, provides extremely accurate risk ratings. As part of the product, users get access to:

Initial Driver Assessment

The driver will log on to the online assessment which takes 20 minutes to complete and interrogates the driver’s knowledge and skills by posing 48 questions under the following four headings:

  • Attitude
  • Knowledge
  • Concentration/ Observation
  • Hazard Perception
Immediate Training

Our system isn’t just an assessment. As well as establishing whether a driver is high, medium or low risk, it also provides answers and explanations after each question thus offering immediate driver training during the assessment.

Large Dataset of Questions

Our system contains a large dataset of questions, which are randomly generated for each user. This means two people cannot copy the answers from each other and any driver who requires a re-assessment will not get the same questions twice.

E-learning Modules

Based on the outcomes of the initial assessment we will recommend additional training modules for each driver. Your package will include up to six E-learning modules per driver which could include anything from driver attitude and speed awareness, to rear end collisions and hazard perception.

Management System

All completed assessments can be accessed, viewed and interrogated using by a management using login access to the back-end system.

Reduced Costs of Driver Training

Average statistics from the Franklands system show 10% of drivers coming out high risk, 70% medium risk and 20% low risk. This means you can determine, with precision, who needs additional training and who does not.

The tool could also be used pre-employment to test the driving skills of your prospective employee during the interview process, thus reducing risk from the start and identifying areas where they need to improve.

Free demo
All clients of Franklands can get access to a free demo of the risk assessment tool today, simply by registering their interest. The offer of a free demo is also open to potential clients of Franklands too.
The tool has already proved popular with other clients, and we're sure you will find it just as useful.
