We Smashed It!

A team of 20 from Franklands accepted the daunting challenge of covering a distance of 273 miles, in less than four hours, to raise much needed funds for The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance Service.

The service is Franklands' adopted charity for 2020 and the 273 miles target represents the total number of hours flown in 2019.

Under the watchful eye and encouragement of Coaches at the recently opened Orangetheory Fitness studio, on The Wyvern in Derby, our colleagues ran, cycled and rowed reaching the target in an amazing 2 hours 36 minutes.

Branch Director, Lee Parr, commented 'when we adopt a charity we go 'all in' to raise as much money as possible. This involves a range of activities, spread throughout the year, including a physical challenge and after months of preparation we absolutely smashed it. A number of 'personal bests' were recorded and so far, we have raised over £3,000.

We are grateful for the support of Orangetheory Fitness and for all clients, business partners, families and friends who have sponsored the event so far.

We would like to raise even more money before we close off the event and contributions will be gratefully received at our Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/franklandsturnorangetogothedistancefortheairambulance
